DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE:
Since 1977, Mr. Rotenberg has focused his practice on the areas of commercial real estate transactions and general business matters. These transactions have involved the representation of developers of condominium projects (new construction and conversions), shopping centers, apartment buildings, office buildings, residential subdivisions and industrial property, including the furnishing of acquisition, construction and commercial lease services. Mr. Rotenberg has also represented sellers and buyers of improved real property, as well as landlords and tenants, in the areas previously mentioned. Mr. Rotenberg also represents numerous clients in Internal Revenue Code Section 1031, Tax Deferred Exchanges. His transactional experience includes representation of purchasers and sellers and landlords and tenants of several downtown Portland and Seattle, Washington office buildings. Mr. Rotenberg has also negotiated and prepared office leases for Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. on a nationwide basis.
In addition to his real estate clients, Mr. Rotenberg also represents general corporate, limited liability company, partnership and joint venture clients in connection with the formation and of the sale and purchase of businesses.

Mr. Rotenberg is a past Chairman of the Oregon State Bar Joint-Realtors Committee. This Committee is comprised of residential and commercial realtors who work with members of the Oregon State Bar to address issues which are common to attorneys and realtors, such as earnest money agreements and the role of attorney and realtor in real estate transactions. Mr. Rotenberg is also the author of a chapter in the Oregon State Bar CLE, Fundamentals of Real Estate Transactions, "Warranties in Real Estate Sales."
Mr. Rotenberg is a past president of the Robison Jewish Home located in Portland, Oregon. He has served on its board of directors and executive committee for more than ten years. Mr. Rotenberg is also a past President of OGA Parents Club, an Oregon nonprofit corporation, which operates a gymnastics facility in Beaverton, Oregon. Mr. Rotenberg is a former member of the boards of the Cancer Research Foundation (affiliated with Providence Medical Center), the Mittleman Jewish Community Center, the Jewish Federation of Portland and the B'nai B'rith Summer Camp. Mr. Rotenberg is also a past president of Tualatin Country Club located in Tualatin, Oregon.
